The core philosophy of Osprey Travel can be summed up by two words: 'expectation management'. By this we mean that we will provide both our clients and outfitters with as much information as possible, in order to insure that the best time is had by all.
To this end, we strive to cover all of the bases required to plan and fulfill the fishing trip of a lifetime for each client. We will send you to the best places, at the best times to go, and with the best guides or outfitters. We will work with you to figure out the best destinations for the type of fishing you want to do, the comfort level you require, and any interest you may have in other activities. We can also help you plan a fishing trip within a larger vacation, if need be.
We will not send you to a destination simply to book a trip and make some money. Nor will we send you somewhere unprepared or with heightened expectations. We will explain every element of the fishing to you - the size and numbers of fish you should see, the skill level and techniques required to catch them, the gear you will be using (rods, reels, lines, leaders, flies, etc.) and the expected weather conditions. We will also provide you with in-depth pre-trip information packets that include gear lists, fly selections, reading suggestions, etc. and we can arrange casting lessons, if you'd like to practice up before your trip.
We offer customized trip planning for families, corporations, and other groups, but also put together our own group trips, which we invite all of our clients to. We can customize a trip for one angler or twenty and are always looking for new water and ways to get our clients to it.
